Arghoslent comprisess of erstwhile Twisted Tower Dire and Grand Belial`s Key members. An out and out Black Metal band Arghoslent have as such been shunned by much of the more mainstream media due to their outspoken views. The origins of the band can be traced back to the 80`s act Genocide which included guitarist Pogrom and bassist Kommando. This duo subsequently forged the Speed Metal band Astyxia in 1989 prior to drafting former Ulterior Motives drummer Mark Stauffer. A further name change to Pogrom occurred then to Arghoslent with the induction of vocalist Gravedigger. Demos included 1991^s Entity, 1992`s Bastard Son Of A Thousand Whores. During 1992 Kommando of Arghoslent would deputize for Grand Belial`s Key`s debut live gig. 1994^s Imperial Clans demo arrived before the departure of Gravedigger. Around 1995 guitarist Holocausto and drummer Mark Stauffer established the Doom Metal inclined side act Twisted Tower Dire. This act would burgeon over the years into quite a force in their own right, pursuing a trad Metal direction and releasing a string of demos, singles and well received albums. Meantime new singer Von Demonicus took the reins of Arghoslent for a 1996 session Arsenal Of Glory. Although second guitarist Holocausto would break away upfront of recording the inaugural album Gallopping Through The Battle Ruins he would return. The 1996 demo was issued on CD in 2000 including tracks from Imperial Clans. 2001 found Kommando back with Grand Belial^s Key for live work. Arghoslent readied a new album Incorrigible Bigotry for the French Drakkar Productions label with limited edition vinyl variants due for release by the Spanish Death To Mankind label. The band also announced the forthcoming release of two projected split 7" EPs, one with Stargazer on Hellflame Productions and another with Mudoven on DominHate Records.
